Teun The Raccoon’s Take Over at Onomatopee
A workshop with Bruno Baietto
October 24–25, Free entry — more info coming soon
Step into the world of Teun the Raccoon, an independent designer trying to make a living while navigating precarious work, shifting institutions, and the power dynamics that shape today’s design field.
This interactive workshop invites participants to embody characters from the design ecosystem—from cultural gatekeepers to collaborators and peers—working together to co-create a critical narrative.
Through collective play, group discussion, and hands-on tasks, you’ll help guide Teun’s journey. Every choice you make influences how the story unfolds, exposing the invisible structures and pressures that define creative practice.
At the end of the sessions, the collaboratively crafted narrative will be adapted into a short film script, laying the groundwork for a future production.
Join us for two days of playful speculation, critical reflection, and storytelling—where the boundaries between design, performance, and collective imagination blur. More details follows.

Baltan Laboratories’ Take Over at Onomatopee

This Dutch Design Week, Baltan Laboratories moves into a space of experimentation and collaboration. Hosted within Onomatopee, Baltan will cohabit and co-create through open working sessions that invite dialogue, participation, and collective reflection.
20-21-22-23 Oct, 11AM-6PM daily - Free Entrance
Amid changing cultural landscapes and funding realities, Baltan is rethinking what an institution can be. Together with Onomatopee and all who join, we will explore alternative formats for working, creating, and sustaining culture—testing new practices of interdependence and mutual support.
Onomatopee’s doors will remain open throughout DDW25, transforming the space into a living lab where questions sparked by the installations evolve into shared actions and prototypes for the future of cultural spaces.
Open Dialogue: Who is Paying for This? with Baltan Laboratories, Onomatopee and BAK Basecamp for Tactical Imaginaries
23 Oct, 3–5PM - Free Entrance
To conclude Baltan Laboratories' takeover at Onomatopee, we invite you to an open dialogue on the future of cultural institutions. Together, we will discuss strategies amid funding scarcity and the urgent need to build alternative forms of collaboration and mutual support among institutions, cultural spaces, and creative workers.
Enter through the exit—join us in reimagining how we continue, together.
